When the World, Or the Pacific Northwest Is Your Oyster...

(Bellingham, Wa)

I loved this article! "Washington is the king of oysters in the Pacific Northwest..." Oh, yes, indeed, we are!

I never tried oysters till I moved to Bellingham, Wa. My mom and dad would have them at home in the mid west traditionally on New Years Eve...but to try them myself I never had the opportunity. An acquaintance of ours, a bowling college, turned us on to our first 5 gallon bucket of oysters a few years ago...

Yes! Mighty tasty indeed! My husband and I ate the whole bucket over a bar-b-que!!! Took us a couple of nights cooking out, but, never the less, non went to waste.

Now we are heading to the Chuckanut Trail Head for the Oyster Dome! We headed up there once only to get side tracked to the right and missing the famous dome...this time we know better!
