I have been to a few of the offices that offer timeshares in Bellingham, Wa and the best one my husband and I found was the Great Links Resort. (Opens into a new window.) First of all, I know what you're thinking, and, No! I don't work for Great Links. I am not selling anything here, but just simply sharing some great information about timeshares in our area and why I favor timeshares in Bellingham, WA vs. staying in hotels.

I realise this information may not help those outside of Washington, but for those in Washington who travel a lot, purchasing a timeshare is definately worth it. It's much cheaper than a hotel and it's a much more comfortable stay.

What Are Timeshares?

As a member of a timeshare holder, you get unlimited access to all the resorts, the amenities at over 2,000 quality resorts worldwide and with no extra charges for the holidays and with no hidden fees of any kind! Benefits of Having Timeshares There are many benefits of having timeshares, especially if you find yourself in hotels/motels a lot. My husband travel out of Bellingham often and we were paying anywhere to $55-$350 a night. (Ouch!? You bet!)

With the timeshare we have with Great Links Resort, we can stay without using any "real travel" points for 2 nights for only $55-$60 for 2 nights, not per night. That is a real savings for us! And we use this advantage a couple times a month, so it doesn't break our bank unlike other timeshares in Bellingham I have seen.

The timeshare is also inheritable. Once the package you choose is paid for it's yours, you own it! Therefore, like a home or anything else, it passes on to whoever you inherit to.

It's like owning a second home in different locations all over Washington and around the world! And not just any homes...they are condominiums, the resorts around WA are on world-class golf courses, some have pools and jacuzzis and fine dining restaurants.

All the condo's are equiped with stainless steel kitchens with marble counters and the pots and pans, silverware, washers and dryers, linen, soaps and detergents, t.v.'s in all the rooms, fireplaces...you name it. All you have to do is bring your own groceries or they will cater to you from the restaurant and use your grill on the patio and grill for you! It makes you feel pampered and "rich" but you are paying less than a cheap hotel!
