Speak E-Z's BBQ

We have been going to Speak E-Z's for about 4 years now. I don't know what those people have to complain about. The servers are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is always good, and I have been there for the All you can eat ribs with my friends several times. First of all, the plates do not cost over $20, and how can the plates come out wrong since it's always the same with the All you can eat ribs. Maybe you all ate somewhere else.

We got to know Dennis, the owner, a bit. He comes from Memphis and takes a lot of pride in his cooking and smoking.
Anyway, the food is good, tasty and not boring, the BBQ sauce is the best, the prices are reasonable, service is good, (lot better than in a lot of other places we have been) and you all should try it and don't get side tracked by someone who has a gripe for whatever reason.

Speak EZ's BBQ

I've been rolling past this place on Meridian for months, and finally dropped in. First off, the wait service sucks. All of them. Then they hit you with the menu... high prices. So I was like, alright, so it's some gourmet BBQ. Oh well, they better deliver the goods. Then the worst part, the food arrives.... small portions and HORRIBLE taste! Worst sliced beef I've ever had AND the most expensive sliced beef I've ever had! I've never been to Memphis, but there's no way anybody in Memphis would want to claim this crap!

Amazingly, we were the only ones in the restaurant who seemed to mind! WHAT THE...?????????

This is funny, on their website they say "After being laid off he started to cook so often that he got teased by his wife and friends "you should open up your own restaurant." I think they were being sarcastic... At least I hope they were... If this is Memphis style remind me to not eat when I'm in town.
