Panasia Restaurant

by Beverly
(Bellingham, WA USA)

My husband and I went to the Silver Reef Casino for dinner at the Panasia Restaurant to start our night.
It is a nicely decorated little spot tucked in the back of the casino towards the hotel and spa. Decorated towards a beautiful Indian/Asain look. It was a calm intimate atmosphere and from the many people dining there (one table had 11 people!) and the nice variety on the menu, we thought we picked a great place to eat out.
We got sat down and ordered drinks and some 5 or 10 minutes later we had our minds made up and placed our orders. We ordered lobster pot stickers for an appetizer. My husband ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and I just had to have the Kong Pao Shrimp!
This was just a few minutes after 6 when we ordered.
We didn't get our appetizer till almost 7! While sitting there for nearly an hour! No salad. No soup. No bread. Nothing until almost an hour later we finally got our appetizer.
After a 30 minute wait I told my husband that the food better be worth the wait...it wasn't.
My husbands dish was full of vegetables that he don't like. The menu said that all of the vegetables were stir fried, but we have a hard time believing that as anyone knows the difference between fresh, frozen, and CANNED PEAS and carrots. They were canned.
I on the other hand had fresh carrots. They were cut different, fresh-like, and still had the "crunch" to them as would fresh carrots.
The one thing we will give them good is that the shrimp was not over-cooked!!! However, that probably won't take us back to dine there again. Sorry to say...
