Nature's Little Helpers Vegan Family Child Care in Bellingham, WA, accepts children from ages three months to 12 years old. Full time, part time, and half day's are available to meet families needs.

Located in the Columbia neighborhood on a quiet street, NLH is a licensed family child care. I am a qualified Early Childhood, Infant/Toddler, and Special Needs Educator with over 10 years experience.

My main goal is to provide quality child care that has little impact on the environment and that nurtures respect for our earth and animals. At NLH children are nurtured in a caring environment and learn through a play based philosophy. NLH will be open between 7:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours can be added if needed.

Well balanced vegan snacks and meals are provided, which will be as organic as possible depending on availability. Along with being peanut free, gluten free diets can be accomodated. NLH participates in the Child Nutrition Program, a Federal program that provides healthy meals and snacks to children receiving child care.

Some of the yard is dedicated to gardening which will provide your child with valuable experiences along with healthy organic food which will be used for our meals in the summer months. If your child is still using diapers, you will have the peace of mind of a cloth diaper service. Cloth diapers not only will save money but is a healthy alternative to disposable diapers and you can carry on the service at home with no extra charge.

Along with being environmentally friendly there are also a few rescue animals on site. Please be aware if you have concerns about allergies. Children will have the opportunity to interact with two bunnies that are kept in a secure rabbitate in the play yard. During child care hours my cat companion will reside in my personal bed room.
