Looking For Dad or Family in Bellingham, WA

by Dorothy Carr
(Pryor OK USA)

Hello Everyone!

My name is Dorothy. I am 50 years old and I am looking for my Dad or his family in the Bellingham, WA area.

I know my chances may be slim, but, it's worth a try.

My father has more then likely past away, but he has other family from what I gather. And, first of all, I don't want anything from him. I just want to know some of my family history; medical and other family things would be interesting to know.

I have his photo when he was in the service. He was a medic in the Korean war. He was married, and I believe had 2 children before me.

He meet my mother in 1960-61, in Gig Harbor Washington. She moved back to Arkansas and gave birth to me there in 1961. That was where she was from. His name is Ivar Anderson.

Everyone called him Ike. If you or anyone knows him or his family, could you please let them know that I am looking for them and would love to talk to some one about him.

Thank You! Oh adding his photo, too. If anyone knows the man in the photo please write me back at golddusttwin@msn.com

You didn't submit a photo, but you can certainly Contact me and I'll be glad to attach it. Good luck! You never know. You just may be able to find him. I found my birth mother and family! Let me know if you find them!
Best wishes,
Beverly

No I havent. I knew it was a long shot. I know he had children older then me and I would have liked to know them and find out something about my Dad growing up. I was very anger with my mom because she ran him off or something to that effect. But as a teen I was anger with him because he knew about me but never made any attempt to see me. But I was grown and not angry with anyone, I just hated not knowing anything about him so I would have something to tell my children at a certain age or grade. They do a family tree-type thing for school. I remember how ashamed I felt about not knowing anything.
