Lake Padden

Bellingham, Washington

lake-padden All year around the Lake Padden makes for great stomping grounds! It's many options include not only walking and jogging, but mountain biking and horseback riding as well, are permitted in some areas of the trails. The 2.6 mile trail around the base of the lake itself is dog friendly (on leash rule) and popular also for wheel chairs and strollers.

There's also an "off leash" area trail that will accomodate for a need for a strenuous stroll! You won't have to fear about getting lost, granted you stay on one of the main areas, as there are plenty of markers telling you where you are at and which way goes where for how long! It's really great place to take your family or friends or pets and go.

lake-padden-map-2 Lake Padden also has a lovely golf course that is "house-free" and void of possible broken glass! It also has boat launches for canoes and kayaks, plenty of places to picinic, swim, play, fish and play ball! The park also offers a fensed in area for dogs to run and play together.

Padden Lake is off of Samish Way going south, past the Highland Care Center, on the right. There are two main entrances, so if you miss the first entrance, that's ok! Just take the next right. Enjoy your day!
