The City of Subdued Excitement
It really was a Grand Parade in Bellingham, WA this last year! A great crowd of people gathered to watch over 100 entries in the parade on a perfectly beautiful day.
My husband and I got downtown early to watch the parade. It wasn't long before the streets and sidewalks were full. We parked our lawn chairs on the corners of Cornwall and Champion. This is where you can view over 100 picture's that we (my husband) took. We also have some small clips of video's posted on YouTube that you can view as well!
After touching up, resizing, and uploading each photo I was a bit disappointed with the quality after the 7 hour task! However, I hope you will enjoy them. You will also be able to download them yourselves if you like.
There are 7 or 8 more video's we took. You can see them all on YouTube. From there you are free to upload them yourself and share them with others. There are video's that I took of Bellingham around town and at the 4th of July Celebration in Sudden Valley, too...Enjoy!
The Grand Parade is a kick-off for the the annual Ski to Sea Celebration. This Whatcom County signature event takes place every Memorial Weekend. This is an 85 mile race that starts at our majestic Mount Baker and ends in Fairhaven (south Bellingham.) Athlete's from all over the world come to compete.
