Global Warming and the Price of Gas

by Bev
(Bellingham, WA USA)

Great article on the global warming effects here in Washington State here in today's Bellingham news on global warming! To be honest, I have never been a believer in "global warming." There has been absolutely no evidence that it is true or that it is a threat. The only thing I agree with after watching many commentaries on global warming is that "if" it was so, the cause of effects "could be" a global disaster. BUT! Is it happening? No! And there is no evidence.
This global warming stuff all surfaced after Al Gore was Vice President under the Clinton administration. This same Al Gore that claimed, "...when I invented the Internet," while in office. After that said, it is startling how many people believe in his "global warming theory."
It's even more startling how much money has been spent to try and prove it, it's never been an absolute truth, and there is still no evidence it is true. All it has done is cause a lot of hype around the world and scared people into extreme fear of it. "Because Al Gore said it, I believe it." Not me!
Being from the Pacific Northwest in the middle of June and having snow fall in various areas of the state this last week, I'm all for some of that "global warming."
I'm glad the article writer pointed out that even the founder of the Weather Channel, John Coleman, isn't a believer in global warming, either! Read Global Warming and the Price of Gas. I find this John much more credible than Al Gore! And he makes much more sense as to what is "really going on."

Lifting the Offshore Ban
by: Bev

I'm greatly encouraged to see in the news this morning that our president is trying to get the ban to offshore oil drilling lifted.
It would be a step in the positive for our nation in more ways than one.
According to Fox News the democrats, of course, are using this as a political scream against republicans, thus making it a political issue.
Opening up the opportunities to harvest our own oil opens up great opportunities for our American public. And they can do it with clean air in mind and greatly reduce to national debt by selling our oil to other less fortunate countries. (Give the Saudis something to think about.)
The US has the oil, we just haven't been able to drill or build new refineries because of all the "global warming threats."
Everyone wants to blame Bush for all the high gas prices....The real blame is on Al Gore, our environmental hero.
