Dinner at Sadighi's

Sadighi's Restaurant across from Freddies

After a late afternoon of shopping, we decided to have dinner and, not wanting to spend anymore time with the maddening crowds, decided to go to Sadighi's on Lakeway. Haven't been there for awhile but, as ususal, was definitely not disappointed with our choice.
This small restaurant, though right on one of the busier streets in town, still conveys a "hideaway" atmosphere. Cozy, warm and intimate, it is basically hidden in plain sight.
This particular evening I wanted to try something different so I decided to have "Oysters Baked Italian". Excellent choice! This dish consisted of small local oysters, pieces of bacon, mushrooms, onions and sweet peppers all baked in a small dish and topped with melted cheese. The combination of flavors worked wonderfully and I enjoyed every bite! This was served with sliced baked red potatoes and fresh vegetables. It should be noted that this original recipe was Sadighi's contribution to the book "Ethnic Dining in the Puget Sound". Chased down with a Reisling from Snoqualmie Winery, it was a perfect end to a hectic day.
Service was provided by Sadighi himself (as is usual) and attention was given to every detail making it a great dining experience. So if you are looking for an in-town get-away with great food, great service, intimate atmosphere all at reasonable prices.....Sadighi's is the place for you! Enjoy!

Sadighi's Restaurant

I agree, Roger! Sadighi's is a hidden treasure in Bellingham for dining out!
Last time I was there I had the stuffed sole. Oh yummy! yummy! I had the home made onion soup for an appetiser. It was great with the bottle of white wine we ordered with our meal. Then came the nice portion of the stuffed sole, rice pilaf, and steamed broccoli and carrots. There was absolutely no room for desert!
The atmosphere is so quiet. With the garden surrounding the building it is very romantic. And having Sadighi himself waiting on us with his bubbly and friendly personality...ya, it is really a hidden treasure in Bellingham!
Thanks for the review!
