The Wildwood Resort is a great place to camp in Bellingham, WA. Wildwood Resort sits on the waterfront of Lake Whatcom, a beautiful 10-12 mile long, lake! It starts at Bloedel Donovan Park off of Electric Avenue in town and ends at Wildwood Resorts! It's an absolute great place to camp!

At The Firs, campers can choose from various activities including sailing, kayaking, climbing, and crafts. They have recently included wakeboarding, rock climbing, skateboarding, and paintball, too!

Campers get to hang out with the members of the Summer Staff, a group of energetic, caring, and dedicated high school and college age students. They are effective role models in the Bellingham community who live the message of Jesus Christ in practical ways.

Just a few miles south on Chuckanut Drive is Larrabee State Park. This is Washington's first state park! It includes 8,100 feet of shoreline on Samish Bay, hiking trails, 2 freshwater lakes, 59 camp sites, 26 RV hook-ups, 67 picnic sites, boat ramps and is open year around! Camping Checklist

My husband and I have taken our family on many outdoor expeditions over the years. We never failed to forget something at home that we needed. I didn't want anything like that happen to you so I put together a checklist for you! Call me a "perfectionist", call me what you will, but don't call me if you forgot something you needed on this list!!!

1) The tent!(Unless you are Rving, of course...
2) Hammer-to drive the tent stakes in the ground good and proper, silly! Trust me! You'll be glad you brought it along!
3) Sleeping bags
4) Extra blankets...may get colder than you imagine it would.
5) Air mattress...some of us are getting old! I suppose you younger people can rough it.
6) Air pump...refer to above!
7) Lantern/flashlight
8) Lantern fuel/batteries
9) Pillow...you'll be glad you did!
10) Portable cook stove/fuel
11) Charcoal
12) Cooler/Ice
13) Folding chairs
14) First Aide Kit
15) Hand Sanitizer
16) Bottled water
17) Sunscreen
18) Bug repellent
19) Garbage bags...makes Smokey Bear happy!
20) A rag or two...wipe off picnic table, etc...
