Camping in Bellingham
The City of Subdued Excitement

We don't have any camping in Bellingham anymore! There used to be Wildwood Resorts outside of Bellingham off of Lake Whatcom, but they are now promoting the selling of cottages. With this said the place to go not far from the city would be Larrabee State Park.

Bellingham does have an RV park with full hook-ups, pet friendly, within 15 minutes of shopping, showers, laundry and is open all year.
Easy access off of I-5 and only an hour from Vancouver, BC.

For more information, you can visit their website Bellingham RV Park or call 888-372-1224. It will open into a new window.

Camping in Bellingham Checklist

camping-bellingham

My husband and I have taken our family on many outdoor expeditions over the years. We never failed to forget something at home that we needed. I didn't want anything like that happen to you so I put together a checklist for you! Call me a "perfectionist", call me what you will, but don't call me if you forgot something you needed on this list!!!

The tent! (Unless you are Rving, of course...)

  •  Hammer-to drive the tent stakes in the ground good and proper, silly! Trust me! You'll be glad you brought it along!

  • Sleeping bags
  • Extra blankets...may get colder than you imagine it would.

  •  Air mattress...some of us are getting old! I suppose you younger people can rough it.

  •  Air pump...refer to above!

  •  Lantern/flashlight

  •  Lantern fuel/batteries

  • Pillow...you'll be glad you did!

  •  Portable cook stove/fuel

  •  Charcoal

  •  Cooler/Ice

  • Folding chairs

  •  First Aide Kit

  •  Hand Sanitizer

  •  Bottled water

  •  Sunscreen

  •  Bug repellent

  •  Garbage bags...makes Smokey Bear happy!

  •  A rag or two...wipe off picnic table, etc...

Have fun!
