Tom received his early training in the US Army graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. In 2003, he completed the Whatcom Community College Massage Therapy Program and shortly after gained his National Certification.

Tom, then, started his own massage therapy business and chose the name Blue Heron Massage and has been successfully practicing in his current location since 2004. Because of his love for the practice, Tom continues to take education classes to keep his techniques up to date and stay on top of the latest training in bodywork.
