Bellingham Property Inspector
Before buying a home you will need to look into hiring a qualified Bellingham property inspector to make a thorough inspection on the property you choose.
A good inspection should take hours to complete and a good inspector will invite you to be there during the inspection process.
When my husband and I were having our home inspected, our high expectations were met far and beyond by our inspector.
He inspected everything!
Crawled upon the roof and underneath the house. He crawled inside the tiny entrance to the attic and found things the previous owner didn't even know about!
He took pictures and pointed out things that could use some TLC, but nothing too immediate. After a days work he presented to us a folder with the whole inspection report that we can use to make necessary repairs and also a seasonal checklist of things to do every season to keep the house in good condition.
What To Look For In An Inspector
1- Make sure the prospective inspector for your home has been through the proper training program and is certified to inspect your home.
2- Ask what will be covered in the inspection. His answer should reflect how well your home will be inspected, hopefully exhausting! You want a thorough inspection.
3- He or she should be able to supply you with references. If they are "good inspectors" they will be happy to do that for you!
4- A good inspector will invite you to be at the home for the inspection. Witnessing problems first-hand will give you a better grasp of what is and is not an issue.
Do your research! Purchasing property in Bellingham is a big investment, so do shop around for inspectors.
My husband and I went through Pillar To Post for our inspection. David Millican is a liscensed inspector. You can visit his web site at
