About Me

This is about me and Bellingham-Subdued-Excitement.com. (Our 15 minutes of fame!) First of all, my name is Beverly Dawkins. I love Bellingham, WA! It really is the greatest little city I have ever visited or lived in. As a former truck driver, I have seen and been through hundreds of cities throughout the US and Canada and nothing compared to Bellingham.

So, how did I come to build a website about Bellingham, you may ask? Good question!

I have worn many hats in my day:

Waitressing

Beef Cutting

Parks Dept.

Long-Haul Truck Driving

Nursing

It was all good at their times, but I always wanted to work from home and do my own thing. But I never imagined building a web site! With SBI it was simple and fairly easy to do! It's actually pretty exciting and I am getting ready to build another

SBI website! I love SBI!

They really are a fantastic outfit to build websites with. When I started, I didn't know tiddly-poop! I mean, I could barely email! But SBI don't care if you are a web-pro or just learning. They help you every step of the way and they have a live forum that is a "Success-focused friendly forum." People there from all walks of life and from all over the world are there to help me and I have learned so much about web building and made a lot of friends there, too. They are there to work with and for each others success and not against each other. They are an amazing bunch of people.

My Personal Interests In Bellingham, WA

Now, I get to spend more time with my family and my husband of 28 years! We have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Family is first and foremost. I have a lot of personal interests here, in Bellingham. There is so much to do!

I love music and dance. Dancing is my happy place. I'm glad that, besides at home, of course, Bellingham offers many places that you can go to dancing.

I also love to go mountain biking and hiking in and around Bellingham. My husband and I would go just about every weekend. Our new years resolution is to get back into that passion. There are a lot of great places to go hiking here.

We also like boating and fishing, a little bit of gaming seriously, just a bit with a budget! That's the only way to go and leave with a peace of mind.

So you see my interests are pretty broad and out of a love for Bellingham and being an adventurous person, putting together Bellingham-Subdued-Excitement.com has been an adventure. I have learned so much more about Bellingham, WA that I didn't know before and I really enjoy bringing this website to this great community and to the world for all to enjoy.
