A Magical Christmas ..... Or Was It Chemistry?

A couple weeks ago my husband and I discovered the wonderful shops down town Fairhaven in Bellingham. We were both more than impressed with the little ma and pa shop called Mud In Your Eye!
It is a small shop with wall to wall home made pottery; anything from plant hangers to water fountains to dishes and sushi dishes to ceramic sinks to tea sets to star fish to slugs! and so much more all made out of ceramic.
While we were there I commented on this bamboo plant. It was woven together like a basket and set in a beautiful ceramic pot. I ahhed and eewwed over it and we made some other purchases and continued our down town shopping experience.
This weekend while my daughter was here for the holiday, her and my daughter in law and I again made a path to Mud In Your Eye! The girls were aahhed and eewwed with the shop, too. As it was getting late and I knew the guys would be wondering where dinner was, we couldn't stay long, but I noticed the bamboo was gone!? The lady said she sold it a couple days ago to some guy for his girl friend. I was happy for the lucky lady who will get it! I even commented, "He's a keeper!"
So come our Christmas day, (we celebrated a day early as my daughter and her husband had to fly back on the 25th to work on the 26th) everyone was done tearing open their presents and my husband goes outside for a bit. I didn't think much about it. He came in carrying that bamboo plant from the Mud In Your Eye shop!!!
I guess I will make good on my word and "keep him!"
