About Me, A Computer and A Love For Bellingham, WAMy husband and I have lived in Bellingham, WA for 9 years, now! Nestled in the breath-taking neighborhood of Sudden Valley. Though we have the desire to travel and see other places, it's always a pleasure when we get back "home." Bellingham just suits us. This is our retiring spot!We have 3 grown children. Our boys live here, and our daughter and her family live in Colorado. And we have 4 wonderful grandchildren! They all love Bellingham, too! As you search this website, you'll find pictures of us enjoying our lives here.
How I Got To BellinghamMy husband was up here on contract and our wedding anniversary was coming up. So we planned a 4 day weekend together. I flew up to spend it with him. I landed in Seattle where my husband met me. We stayed in the penthouse suite at the Double Tree Hotel, not far from Sea-Tac.The next morning we got on the 99 to the Mukilteo Ferry that would then take us to Whidbey Island. We stayed on the 99, and drove along Chuckanut Drive into Bellingham. Had our anniversary dinner at Anthony's on the Bay! (That's "our spot" every year, now!) By the time my 4 day weekend had ended I knew where I wanted to spend the rest of my life! It was truely a life changing experience. (You see, I wasn't looking for a change in residency before this 4 day weekend occured.) Bellingham just kind of romanced me in! This city can really have that effect on you. I went home, packed and got my house ready for sale. That was in May. July 4th weekend I made my permanent residence in Bellingham, WA. I have never looked back.
Why I Love Bellingham, WAThere are many reasons why I love Bellingham, WA. The list grows every year. It's just a gorgeous area here! It's really a little bit of paradise on earth.I love to music, dance, and entertainment and Bellingham has great venue's. I love to hike and be active...water sports, fishing, hiking, running, and crocheting... Being able to enjoy all these passions have been fulfilled by moving here. Everything I ever wanted in a city, to call home, and retire in, is here, in Bellingham, WA. You could also say, I'm a hippie-chic! Bellingham was noted as one of the "hippiest places to live", by the way. No wonder I feel so at home here! It's easy to blend right in here in Bellingham. Bellingham is "home" to a wonderful diversity of people. I have been inspired to even fulfill my life long dream of working at home since I've moved here.
My Life Changing CareerI guess you could call it a "career" though, I consider myself an entreprenuer. I absolutely love what I do and it's definitely not a "job!" If you wanted to know all about me, I would have to write a novel. I been around the block a few times and I've worn many hats in my day. I started waiting tables when I was 12 years old. I've driven long haul across the U.S. and Canada, cut meat for years at a slaughter house...you name it, I've done it. No matter what I did, I was always felt I was fulfilling someone's dream, not mine. My life was all about them, not about me.One day I "woke up" and realised I wasn't getting any younger and life just seemed to be passing me by. I've always dreamed of running my own business. Doing my own thing. Being my own boss and making money doing "something" I really loved. It took me years to figure out what would work for me. Well, one day while surfing the internet, I stumbled upon SBI (short for "Site Build It"). They ended up being the catalyist to helping me make my own business dream a true reality. I am convinced that anyone can succeed with their all-in-one process, tools, and guidance! I know if "I" can do it, anyone can! All I needed was a passion, a computer, and for less than $1 day, I built www.Bellingham-Subdued-Excitement.com! The results, so far, have exceeded my expectations. I no longer live "someone else's dream". I don't fight with my alarm clock anymore and I can really live the way I want to and be here for my family and make a decent income. I can even build my business online from anywhere in the world! Now I have 2 website's that I actively work on and I work on them from Hawaii! My new site is called Crab-O-Licious.com it's all about crab, which, I absolutely love, and I love to go crabbing out around the San Juan Islands. And this is not all. As an entreprenuer and one who loves to stay busy... I also have partnered up (my husband and I) with an over-$850 million dollar debt-free company to help people put a backup plan (a Plan B) in place. It's a science-based wellness consumer products company that manufactors over 350 products (patented, biodegradable and eco-friendly). As a matter of fact, they have been around for well over 25 years and were "green" before being "green" was cool! We offer people knowledge about this recession-proof business and we share with people how to put a real solid backup plan for their finances through obtaining a residual income. Enough said!
